Artist Spotlight: Jeanne McKinney
Jeanne McKinney was showing paintings in the exhibition "The Magic Of Monhegan: Seven Women Paint the Island's Charm" at the Ohio Arts Council Riffe Gallery, Columbus Ohio, from April 1 through April 24, 2015.
She is showing a painting in the Art Association of Harrisburg's 87th Annual International Juried Exhibition from May 15 through June 18, 2015.
She is also showing a painting in "Pastel Expressions" - Joint Exhibition of Central PA Pastel Society and the Pittsburgh

Meet the Members
Pat McDannel, Secretary My first formal instruction in art came about during my senior year in high school and I was hooked. I graduated from Edinboro University (then Edinboro State Teachers College) with a BS in Art Education and took my first teaching job in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The job only lasted six months because I was pregnant and in the 50’s most school districts did not want to have their students exposed to pregnant women.

Program Committee
Kathleen Muffie-Witt, Anne Kenyon, and Virginia Belser are preparing art happenings for our group. Activities being considered are pre-meeting exercises, member-led workshops for members and guests and outreach programs. These types of activities fit very well with the goals of the Society.
Volunteers Needed

Pastel Expressions Update
On May 3rd, members of our pastel society will participate in a paint-out from 2pm-5pm on the grounds of the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Ligonier during the “free museum day” there. (However, if anyone wishes to paint all day, they are welcome to do so.)
