Dates of Show: August 11th-September 3rd The Station Gallery in Lock Haven presents “Pastel Passions” Pastel paintings by local artists will be displayed at the Station Gallery in Lock Haven, PA. The paintings, which are for sale, can be viewed any time during business hours: Monday, Friday, Saturday: 10am-5pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10am-8pm.
This juried exhibit represents work of members of the Central Pennsylvania Pastel Society. The Society is headquartered in the State College area but represents artists from all over Pennsylvania. Since 2005, the Society promotes awareness of the beauty of pastels and the artistic development of its members through workshops, exhibitions, and plein-air painting opportunities.
The title of the show, ”Pastel Passions,” signifies the artists’ love of the soft pastel medium. Diverse in content, the show includes: landscapes, portraiture, and still-lifes. Ultimately, the viewer will get a chance to step into multiple artistic worlds.
