Getting the 'Glow' with Laura Pollak

The Central Pennsylvania Pastel Society is pleased to announce
a One Day Online Workshop with Master Circle Pastelist Laura Pollak.

DATE: Sunday, Feb 5th 2023
TIME: 11 AM Eastern to 6 PM with 1 hour lunch
TUITION: $150

Laura will show how she uses value and color to obtain an inner glow to her abstract paintings. As she demonstrates these concepts with her organic abstract compositions she will also narrate how to achieve the feel of having a ‘light bulb’ planted inside the
painting.


She will also discuss design principles, mark making and how to use edges to direct the viewer to the focal point and stay on the painting. Laura will show how utilizing the basic foundational concepts can help you achieve a successful and vibrant painting.

 

As an added feature, Laura will show how she uses Apps to work out compositional challenges, color questions and experiment with new and unusual techniques.

 

All will be recorded for review on YouTube.

We will send a payment request via Zelle for $150.00. When your fee is received, you will receive a confirmation and a supply list for the workshop.

Cancellation: The Central PA Pastel Society reserves the right to cancel when circumstances make it impossible for the workshop to be conducted due to insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen emergencies. In such events, registered students will be notified and all fees will be returned. If a registrant has to cancel and the workshop can be filled from the waiting list, the registrant will receive a full refund. If the workshop cannot be filled, the registrant will forfeit the full fee.
