What made you choose pastels as a medium? and how long have you been using pastels?

After not thinking I liked the looks of them, and not interested, I went on a studio tour and saw some beautiful work, and decided I was wrong. So. Have been using them for about 9 years.

What are your favorite subjects to paint?

I have no favorites, I love people, animals, whatever my heart tells me…

What is the best art-related advice you’ve been given?

When I asked what’s to become of all the work I have been producing, I was told “ not to worry about it, do it because you love it"

Where do you find inspiration?

It can be away from home, on a trip or just looking out of my window.

When is your favorite time of day to create?

I have none…..anytime there’s time…..

How do you develop your art skills?

Watching, listening, retreats, and painting frequently.

How do you define success as an artist?

When it brings not only happiness for me, but others also.
